Country Manager to lead our strategic growth in Romania.
Position Overview
The
Country Manager will be responsible for leading all aspects of our operations in Romania, including strategic planning, business development, regulatory compliance, client relationship management, and team leadership. This role requires an experienced insurance professional with strong leadership, financial acumen, and deep industry knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a country-level strategic plan aligned with regional and global objectives.
Lead and grow the team across sales, operations, and support functions.
Drive business development initiatives and cultivate relationships with key clients, insurers, and industry stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with local insurance regulations and internal governance standards.
Oversee financial performance, including P&L management, budgeting, and reporting.
Represent the company in both industry and other business events and build a strong brand presence in the local market.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in the insurance or financial services industry. A professional experience at a leadership role will be an advantage .
Strong knowledge of the local insurance market and regulatory environment.
Proven track record in business development, team management, and P&L ownership.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Fluent in Romanian and English.

Your Role:
As an International Account Manager, you will take full ownership of a portfolio of international corporate clients. You will be responsible for managing ongoing client relationships, ensuring high service levels, identifying new business opportunities (cross-sell and upsell), and collaborating with internal and external partners to deliver tailored insurance solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and grow a portfolio of international corporate accounts.
Ensure excellent client service and long-term relationship development.
Coordinate insurance policy renewals, offers, and ongoing administration.
Identify and implement cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
Collaborate with underwriting, legal, and support teams to ensure accurate and compliant solutions.
Participate in international client meetings and negotiations (online and/or in-person).
Your Profile:
Previous experience in insurance business servicing international accounts, either on the Insurer’s or on the brokerage side
Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
Client-focused, results-driven and proactive
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
University degree completed
Insurance Certified
