TECHNICAL MANAGER - GENERAL INSURANCE EFG Eurolife is an insurance company, recently authorized on the Romanian insurance market, part of Eurobank EFG Group, which also encloses Bancpost, EFG Retail Services, EFG Eurobank Leasing, EFG Eurobank Securities, EFG Mutual Funds. TECHNICAL MANAGER - GENERAL INSURANCE Main purpose of the job: - Managing the General Insurance team, ensuring legal integrity and sound business practice in Companies' affairs, conducting efficiently the operational activities of the general insurance business. Core responsibilities: 1. Insuring compliance with the strategy of the Group and giving feed-back on actions to be taken, by proposing future development plans and presenting reports on the current situation 2. Working closely with company management with a view to fine-tuning the development strategy of the firm, aiming at finding the optimal business solutions 3. Coordinating and controlling the entire technical activity of the general insurance business: - Leading and optimizing operational activities (underwriting, claims, reinsurance) - Developing and implementing processes/procedures in general insurance business - Working closely with the middle management team to develop and consolidate general insurance business 4. Representing the company in its relations with third-party bodies: beneficiaries, banks, suppliers, investors, auditors, etc., and also with fiscal and control authorities Knowledge, Skills and Experience required: - University degree, with focus on Finance, Insurance or Economics, MBA or additional qualification is a benefit; - Minimum 5 years experience in insurance business, out of which 3 years in managerial position; - Strong background in general insurance business, especially property related product; - Strong knowledge of the relevant market (general insurance/reinsurance); - Business minded, commercial spirit; - Strong sense of responsibility and ownership; - Excellent abilities of organizing and planning; - Success driven spirit; - Ability to meet deadlines, to work under stressful conditions; - Leadership skills; - Flexibility and adaptability; - Excellent computer skills: MS Office; - Strong command of English.
