Due to the continuing success of AEGON in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, we now have the following position available at AEGON Romania headquarters in Cluj-Napoca: TITLE: I.T. Manager Responsibilities: - Liaise with regional I.T. managers to plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the initial and on-going implementation of AEGON's I.T. platforms in its new Romanian headquarters; - Evaluate internal and external clients' needs for I.T. and electronic data processing (EDP) and work with regional I.T. management to develop effective solutions; - Must work as a member of the management team with the responsibility to support all facets of sales, external reporting requirements, and internal needs for Management Information Systems (MIS); - Implements network security policies as established by corporate policy; - Actively support compliance policies, both corporate and regulatory; - Oversees the administration and maintenance of computer stations and software for all offices in the country; - Oversees troubleshooting, systems backups, archiving, and disaster recovery processes, providing hands on expert support when necessary; - Manages ICT requirements for company's call center and telephonic system; - Manages the purchasing of all software, hardware and other IT supplies in compliance with established procedures. Requirements: - Demonstrated successful experience managing I.T. systems, policies and procedures with large insurance company or in a comparable environment; - Deep understanding of business process analysis and flows, ideally developed in an insurance environment; - Experience modifying and implementing support software/platforms to meet the needs of internal and external users; - Undergraduate degree in I.T., software programming, systems management or relevant experience in comparable field; - Proficient in English; - Must be able to motivate team members to work together on systems issues in the most effective manner; - Must be able to easily communicate complex concepts to both internal and external clients; - Must be motivated to continually seek ways to increase internal and external client satisfaction.
